Reaction Steps
Using the reductive amination procedure described in 1C, 12-ethoxy-6-chrysenecarbaldehyde (17A) and 2-amino-2-methyl-1,3-propanediol (Aldrich) gave 2-(((12-ethoxy-6-chrysenyl)methyl)amino)-2-methyl-1,3-propanediol methanesulfonate mp 202°-204° (dec) (EtOH/Et2O), (C,H,N,S).
