The titled compound was prepared from the above-mentioned 3-methyl-6-(trifluoromethyl)benzothiophen-2-ylmethanol [WO 2005077926] (906 mg, 3.68 mmol) and Ethyl 3-(4-benzyloxy-3-methylphenyl)-3-oxopropionate (1.14 g, 3.65 mmol) in a procedure similar to that of Example 1 (1) as a brown powder (680 mg, yield 49%).
