Reaction Steps

3,4 Dimethoxybenzenesulfonyl chloride was reacted with N,N'-diisopropylpropane-1,3-diamine by procedures following those given in Example 1 and chromatographed on Dry-column alumina with 10% methanol/ethyl acetate to provide the title compound. Treatment of this material with isopropanol/HCl gave the hydrochloride salt, m.p. 132°-135° C.
