Procedure
A suspension of 25 g (0.156 mol) of naphthalene-1,7-diol, 35 ml (0.202 mol) of 1-benzyl-piperazine and 60 g (0.316 mol) of sodium disulphite in 250 ml of water is refluxed for four days under nitrogen. After cooling, the precipitate is filtered off, washed with water and dried in a drying cupboard.
