Following the procedure of Example X-2, the reaction of 3-benzyloxy-7-chloro-1-ethyl-6-fluoro-1H-pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidine-2,4-dione (Example N-2, 200 mg, 0.572 mmol) with 4-methylpiperazine (0.152 mL, 1.37 mmol) in dichloromethane (3 mL) afforded 200 mg of the title compound as a solid, mp 178-179° C.
