400 mg (0.97 mmol) of t-butyl [4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)-2-oxo-2,3,4,5-tetrahydrobenzo[e][1,4]diazepin-1-yl]acetate was dissolved in a mixture of 2 ml of dichloromethane and 2 ml of trifluoroacetic acid, and the obtained solution was stirred at room temperature for 1 hour. The solvent was evaporated to obtain the crude title compound.
