A mixture of acid 13 (100 mg, 0.306 mmol) and thionyl chloride (1 ml) was heated at reflux for 1.5 h. The excess thionyl chloride was removed in vacuo and the resulting pale yellow/white solid dried under high vacuum at 50° C. for 1.5 h. The product acid chloride 14 was used without further purification.
