Reaction Steps

[(4S,5R)-2-(4-tert-Butyl-2-ethoxy-phenyl)-4,5-bis-(4-chloro-phenyl)-4,5-dihydro-imidazol-1-yl]-[4-(2-hydroxy-2-methyl-propyl)-piperazin-1-yl]-methanone hydrochloride was prepared from (4S,5R)-2-(4-tert-butyl-2-ethoxy-phenyl)-4,5-bis-(4-chloro-phenyl)-4,5-dihydro-imidazole-1-carbonyl chloride (example 11) and 2-methyl-1-piperazin-1-yl-propan-2-ol (example 18a) in an analogous manner as described in example 25.
