Procedure
The product from Step 2 was dissolved in MeOH (6 mmol), p-fluorobenzylamine (2.0 eq) was added and the mixture was stirred at reflux for 6 hours. The solvent was removed under reduced pressure and the residue was diluted with ethyl acetate. The organic phase was washed with 1N HCl, brine, dried over Na2SO4, filtered and concentrated to dryness under vacuum. To the resulting crude MeOH was added (20 ml/mmol) and the mixture was hydrogenated at atm pressure on 10% (w/w) Pd/C over night. After filtration of the catalyst, solvent was evaporated to give a crude that was purified by preparative RP-HPLC (Symmetry Column C18, 5 μm, 19×100 mm, gradient of CH3CN/H2O+0.01% TFA).
