A solution of [(S)-1-(5-fluoro-2-methyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinolin-8-ylcarbamoyl)ethyl]carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (63.6 mg, 0.181 mmol) in AcOH (5 mL) was stirred at 80° C. for 2.5 h, then concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by column chromatography (Si—PCC, gradient 20-50% EtOAc in cyclohexane) affording the title compound as a colourless gum (24.2 mg, 40%) LCMS (Method B): RT 2.45 min [M+H]+ 334
