Reaction Steps
Oxindole (0.25 g, 1.88 mmol) was condensed with 4-(2-carboxyethyl)-5-formyl-3-methyl-1H-pyrrole-2-carboxylic acid ethyl ester (0.5 g, 1.97 mmol) to give 0.45 g (65%) of the title compound.
