A solution of 2-cyclopentyl-4-[5-((S)-3-ethyl-5-methyl-4-oxiranylmethoxy-phenyl)-[1,2,4]oxadiazol-3-yl]-6-methoxy-pyridine (96 mg, 220 μmol) in 7 N NH3 in methanol (5 mL) is stirred at 65° C. for 24 h. The mixture is evaporated and dried to give crude (2S)-1-amino-3-{4-[3-(2-cyclopentyl-6-methoxy-pyridin-4-yl)-[1,2,4]oxadiazol-5-yl]-2-ethyl-6-methyl-phenoxy}-propan-2-ol (101 mg) as a pale yellow oil; LC-MS**: tR=0.72 min, [M+H]+=453.27.
