1.6 g 2-butyl-5-methanesulfonamido-benzofuran II was added to the solution of 0.28 g 85% potassium hydroxide in 16 ml water. The reaction mixture was stirred for 30 minutes. To the obtained solution 0.76 g magnesium chloride dissolved in 5 ml water was added in 10 minutes, the resulting suspension was stirred at 20-25° C. for 1 hour and then at 5° C. for 2 hours. The product was filtered off and dried.
