196 mg (0.6 mmol) of (Z)-3-[1-(4-aminophenylamino)-1-phenyl-methylidene]-2-indolinone are dissolved in 5 ml of glacial acetic acid and after the addition of 0.1 g (1 mmol) of acetic anhydride stirred for 3 hours at ambient temperature. Then 15 ml of water are added, the product precipitated is suction filtered, washed with water and dried.
