Add pyrrolidin-1-yl-ethanol hydrochloride (1.5 g) to a mixture of 3,5-difluorophenol (1.0 g, 7.68 mmol), cesium carbonate (8.78 g, 26.9 mmol), sodium iodide (1.15 g, 7.67 mmol) in DMF (20 mL). Stir at RT overnight. Concentrate and purify (silica gel chromatography eluting with ethyl acetate:hexane 1:1) to give the desired compound as an oil (0.8 g, 50%).
