In a manner similar to that of Example (19g), by reaction of 200 mg (5.0 mmol, 4.7 eq) of sodium hydroxide and 460 mg (1.05 mmol, 1 eq) of ethyl (E)-3-[5′-(3-heptyl-1-methylureido)-2′-methylbiphenyl-4-yl]acrylate in 6 ml of a tetrahydrofuran/methanol mixture (8/2), and after crystallization from a dichloromethane/pentane mixture, 160 mg of (E)-3-[5′-(3-heptyl-1-methylureido)-2′-methylbiphenyl-4-yl]acrylic acid are obtained in the form of a white powder. (m.p.=159° C.). Yield=37%
