This compound was prepared in an analogous manner to Example XI from 10 g (56 mM) of propiophenone-2-carboxylic acid and lithium aluminium hydride to yield the title compound as an oil. 1H-nmr δ (CDCl3) 7.5-7.2 (4H, m); 4.8-4.5 (3H,m); 3.9-3.5 (2H, broad s, exchanges with D2O); 1.9-1.6 (2H, m); 0.86 (3H,t).
