Reaction Steps
187 parts of cyclohexanone-o-methylphenylimine and 120 parts of triethylamine are added in portions and at 0° to 10° C. to a solution of 120 parts of phosgene in 400 parts of diethyl ether over a period of 1 hour in a manner analogous to that employed in Example 10. The mixture is stirred for another hour. The end product is then isolated analogously to Example 10. 216 parts (87% of the theory) of N-1-cyclohexenyl-N-o-methylphenylcarbamyl chloride is obtained having a boiling point of 132° C. at 0.3 mm.
