Reaction Steps
A mixture of the compound obtained in Step 1(9.1 g), toluene(200 ml), and 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0)-7-undecene(8 ml) was stirred under refrux for 7 hours. Ethyl acetate was added to the mixture, which was washed successively with water, dil.HCl, aq. NaCHO3, and water, and dried(MgSO4). The solvent was evaporated to provide the title compound as colorless crystals(6.3 g).
