Reaction Steps

The N-acylated compound obtained in the above step (1) was treated in the same manner as in Example 27 to obtain triethyl 4-[N-{(1RS,2RS,4E)-5-(2-benzoxazolyl)-1-methyl-2-(3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl)-4-pentenyl}-N-(2-naphthylmethyl)carbamoyl]-1,2,3-butanetricarboxylate. The obtained ester was dissolved in 1 ml of tetrahydrofuran, and then 0.5 ml of a 3N sodium hydroxide aqueous solution was added thereto. The mixture was left to stand at room temperature overnight. The reaction solution was diluted with ethyl acetate and then acidified by an addition of 1N hydrochloric acid, and it was washed with a saturated sodium chloride aqueous solution and then dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate. The drying agent was filtered off, and then, the solvent was distilled off under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by medium pressure liquid chromatography (Lobar column™, size A, RP-8, manufactured by Merck Co.; acetonitrile/0.1% trifluoroacetic acid aqueous solution=1/1) to obtain 14 mg (yield: 52%) of the above-identified compound as white powder.
