Reaction Steps

To a solution of 0.363 g of the intermediate obtained from Step B in 5 mL of of ethanol was added 0.10 g of 20% palladium hydroxide on carbon and hydrogenated under H2 balloon for 1 h. The catalyst was filtered off and washed with more methanol. The filtrate was concentrated to yield 0.262 g of the desired material.
