Procedure
2-Ethylamino-3,4-dihydro-5-methyl-7-propylimidazo[5,1-f]-as-triazine (Example 12e) (1.1 g.) and acetyl chloride (1.65 ml.) in glacial acetic acid (10 ml.) were heated on a steam bath for 16 hours. The acetic acid was distilled off and the residue was crystallised from a mixture of isopropanol and ether to give a solid, m.p. 190°-192° (73%).
