Procedure
2-Amino-3,4-dihydro-5-methyl-7-propylimidazo[ 5,1-f]-as-triazine (Example 1a) (1.9 g.) and acetyl chloride (1.8 g.) in acetic acid (20 ml., glacial) were heated at 100° for 3 hours. The solution was evaporated under reduced pressure and the residue was crystallised from a mixture of ethanol and ethyl acetate to give a white solid m.p. 302°.
