Procedure

9-Hydroxy-7-(3-methyl-2-octyl)-2,2,4,4-tetramethyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydrocyclopenta[ c][1]benzopyran from Example 28 is reacted with γ-morpholinobutyric acid hydrochloride following the procedure of Example 4 to produce 7-(3-methyl-2-octyl)-9-[4-morpholino)-butyryloxy]-2,2,4,4-tetramethyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydrocyclopenta[ c][1]benzopyran hydrochloride.
