Reaction Steps
(0.005 mol.) of 2-(4-hydroxybenzoyl)-3-phenylbenzofuran with 2.7 g. (0.02 mol.) of 2-diethylaminoethyl chloride in 50 ml. of acetone containing 2.7 g. (0.02 mol.) of potassium carbonate for 3 hours according to the procedure described in Example 1 gives the title compound.
