Prepared from 6-(4-chloro-phenyl)-8-methyl-imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine (example C.23 step 3) (900 mg, 4 mmol) and iodine monochloride as described in example C.20 step 3. Obtained the title compound as a light yellow solid (1.3 g, 99%). MS (ISP) 414.1 [(M+H)+].
