The title compound was prepared from 3-ethynyl-7-trifluoromethyl-5-(4-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)-pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine (example C.1) (400 mg, 1.13 mmol) and 5-bromonicotinamide [CAS 28733-43-9; commercially available] (204 mg, 1.0 mmol) according to general procedure II. Obtained as a yellow solid (140 mg, 26%). MS (ISP) 476.2 [(M+H)+]; mp 285-287° C.
