The title compound was prepared from 3-ethynyl-6-(4-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)-imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine (example C.24) (300 mg, 1.0 mmol) and commercially available 2-amino-5-iodopyrimidine (230 mg, 1.0 mmol) according to general procedure II. Obtained as a yellow solid (270 mg, 67%). MS (ISP) 380.3 [(M+H)+]; mp 244-246° C.
