2.87 mL (35.56 mmol) pyridine and 2.11 g (4.98 mmol) Dess-Martin periodinane are added to a solution of 780 mg (3.56 mmol) 3-(4-pyrrolidin-1-ylmethyl-phenyl)-propan-1-ol in 30 mL DCM. The reaction mixture is stirred for 4 h at RT, then added to 100 mL saturated, aqueous NaHCO3 solution, exhaustively extracted with tert-butylmethylether, the organic phase is washed with saturated, aqueous NaCl solution and dried over Na2SO4. After the desiccant and solvent have been eliminated the crude product is further reacted without purification.
