Procedure
3-Pyrrolidin-1-yl-butan-1-ol (1.0 g, 7 mmol) was dissolved in DCM (20 ml). The reaction was cooled to 0-5° C. and thionyl chloride (1.65 g, 14 mmol) was added slowly. The reaction was allowed to warm to room temperature and stirred overnight. The reaction was concentrated in vacuo and azeotroped with DCM (20 ml) to give the title compound (1.4 g, 100%) as a brown oil.
