8-chlorodibenz[b,f][1,4]oxazepine-10(11H)-carboxylic acid, 2-[3-[[(methylamino)carbonyl]amino]-1-oxopropyl]hydrazide (12) was prepared from 8-chlorodibenz[b,f][1,4]oxazepine-10(11H)-carboxylic acid, 2-(3-amino-1-oxopropyl)hydrazide, monohydrochloride (9), prepared as described above in Example 9, and methylisocyanate, in the manner described in Example 10 above, on a one mmol scale to yield 0.17 g (40%) of product.
