8-chlorodibenz[b,f][1,4]oxazepine-10(11H)-carboxylic acid, 2-[3-[(2-furanylcarbonyl)amino]-1-oxopropyl]hydrazide (31) was prepared from 8-chlorodibenz[b,f][1,4]oxazepine-10(11H)-carboxylic acid, 2-(3-amino-1-oxopropyl)hydrazide, monohydrochloride (9), prepared in the manner described above in Example 9, and 2-furoyl chloride in the same manner as described in Example 10 on a 1.9 mmol scale to yield 0.37 g (43%) of product.
