The title compound was prepared from 3-benzyl-5-(3-chloro-phenyl)-3-methyl-1,3-dihydro-indol-2-one (100 mg) and Lawesson's reagent (120 mg) in toluene (10 ml) at reflux, according to General Procedure A, to afford the title compound (0.022 g) as an offwhite solid: mp. 168-170° C.; 1H NMR (CDCl3) δ 9.23 (br s, 1H), 7.49 (s, 1H), 7.49-7.30 (m, 4H), 7.21 (s, 1H), 7.15-7.09 (m, 3H), 6.96-6.94 (m, 2H), 6.89 (d, 1H, J=8.0 Hz), 3.19 (dd, 2H, J=40.5 and 13 Hz) and 1.57 (s, 3H); MS (EI) m/z 363/365 [M]+.
