- The product of Example 24, 0.02 mole, and 12.0 g. (0.054 mole) of P2S5 in 125 ml. of pyridine is heated at reflux for 5 hrs. and then poured into 1 l. of ice and water mixture. The product is collected by filtration, the solid dissolved in dilute NaOH, treated with decolorizing carbon, filtered and the filtrate acidified whereupon the purified product precipitated and was collected on a filter.
