Reaction Steps

A mixture of 1-(6-chloronaphthalene-2-sulfonyl)-4-(2-(2-tert-butoxycarbonylamino-5-pyridyl)-4-methyl-thiazole-5-carbonyl)piperazine (180 mg) and trifluoroacetic acid (1.0 ml) was stirred at room temperature for 1 hour and concentrated. To the residue was added sodium hydrogen carbonate aqueous solution, and the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate. The extract was washed with water, dried (MgSO4) and concentrated. The residue was crystallized from ethyl acetate to give solvate of the title compound (134 mg).
