The title compound was prepared from N-(N′-tert-butoxycarbonyl-L-tryptophanyl)dopamine obtained in step A of example no. 29 (1.3 g, 2.8 mmol) according to the indications of example 3, for 2 h. The crude intermediate was coupled with caffeic acid (770 mg, 4.3 mmol) according to the indications of example 4. The crude product was purified by flash chromatography using 30% AcOEt/CH2Cl2/1% AcOH and 5-10% MeOH/CH2Cl2/1% AcOH to yield the desired product (899 mg, 63%).
