The product from step j) (316 mg, 1.19 mmol) was dissolved in CHCl3 (6 ml) and a solution of SO2Cl2 (95.6 μl, 1.19 mmol) in CHCl3 (1.6 ml) was added dropwise over 10 minutes. and the contents were stirred for 1 hour. The solvent was evaporated in vacuo and the crude product was purified by silica-gel chromatography (hexanes:EtOAc-1:3) to give the subtitle compound. MS calculated for C14H18ClNO2S+H 300, observed 300.
