Procedure
Following General Procedure X and using N-[N-(3,5-difluorophenylacetyl)-L-alaninyl]glycine (prepared from N-[N-(3,5-difluorophenylacetyl)-L-alaninyl]glycine benzyl ester (from Example 73 below) using General Procedure O) and and 3-phenyl-1 -propanol (Aldrich), the title compound was prepared as a solid (mp=137° C.). The reaction was monitored by tlc (Rf=0.15 in 50% EtOAc/hexanes) and the product was purified by flash chromotography using 50% EtOAc/hexanes as the eluent.
Workup
