Procedure

Following General Procedure C and using N-(3,5-difluorophenylacetyl)-L-alanine (from Example B2 above) and methyl 2-amino-2-(4,5,6,7-tetrahydrobenzothiophen-2-yl)acetate (prepared from N-Boc-2-amino-2-(4,5,6,7-tetrahydrobenzothiophen-2-yl)acetic acid [CAS 95361-97-0] using General Procedures G above and the Boc removal procedure described in Example D3 above), the title compound was prepared as a solid. The product was purified by tituration using Et2O/hexanes.
