Procedure

An Et2O solution of anhydrous p-Tosic acid (3 equiv.) was added to dry oil of Boc-Leu-vinylsulfone (1 equiv.) and stirred at room temperature overnight. The product formed a white precipitate which was recovered by centrifugation.
