Reaction Steps

A mixture of the product from step (viii) (0.35 g), 2,4-dichloropyrimidine (0.18 g) and cesium carbonate (0.26 g) in N,N-dimethylformamide (10 ml) was stirred at room temperature for 4 hours. The mixture was partitioned between water and ethyl acetate, the organic phase washed with water, dried (MgSO4) and evaporated under reduced pressure. Purification was by chromatography eluting with 50-80% ethyl acetate in isohexane.
