Sodium methoxide (31 mg) was added to a solution of 2-(2-bromo-1-methyl-4-phenyl-1H-imidazol-5-yl)[1,3]thiazolo[5,4-d]pyrimidin-7-amine (Example 26) (22 mg) in MeOH (1 mL). The reaction was stirred and refluxed for 4 days with further sodium methoxide (31 mg) added each day. The solvent was evaporated in vacuo and water (5 mL) added. Extracted with DCM (2×5 mL) and the combined organics were dried over MgSO4, filtered and the solvent evaporated in vacuo to give a white solid (15 mg, 78%);
