Reaction Steps

This compound was prepared using the general de-protection procedure as describe in General Procedures Example B. The starting material used was 1butylsulfanyl-2-(1-methanesulfonyl-5-nitro-6-trifluoromethyl-1H-indol-2-yl)-propan-2-ol (0.53 g, 1.16 mmol). The base that was used was 4N sodium hydroxide solution (1 mL, 4 mmol). The title compound was obtained as a yellow sticky oil.
