The reaction of (R)-5-(5′-chloro-4,3′-difluoro-biphenyl-3-yl)-6,6-difluoro-5,7,7-trimethyl-[1,4]oxazepan-3-one (130 mg, 313 μmol) with Lawesson's reagent (130 mg, 313 μmol) in 1,4-dioxane (5 ml) yielded the (R)-5-(5′-chloro-4,3′-difluoro-biphenyl-3-yl)-6,6-difluoro-5,7,7-trimethyl-[1,4]oxazepan-3-thione (131 mg, 97%) as a white foam. MS (ISP): m/z=432.2 [M+H]+ and 434.2 [M+2+H]+.
