Procedure
A mixture of 6-chloropyridine-3-sulfonamide (5 g, 0.025 mol) and 3-methoxy propylamine (50 ml) is stirred at 100° C. for 12 h. The mixture is cooled and excess reagent is removed by distillation. The residue is suspended in DCM (25 ml) and cooled. The precipitate is filtered, washed with cold ammonium hydroxide (2×50 ml) and dried under vacuum to afford 5 g (78%) of the titled compound as a white solid. mp: 129-132° C., LC/MS: (ES+) 246.
