The title compound was prepared in accordance with the general method of Example 1, from 2-bromo-5-fluoropyridine (200 mg, 1.14 mol) and 2-(but-3-ynyl)benzo[d]oxazole (195 mg, 1.14 mmol, Example 8(A)). The crude residue was purified by flash chromatography (DCM/MeOH 99:1) and SCX column (DCM/MeOH 100:0 to 94:6, DCM/MeOH/NH4OH 94:5:1 to 90:8:2) to yield 15 mg (56 μmol, 5%) of 2-(4-(5-fluoropyridin-2-yl)but-3-ynyl)benzo[d]oxazole as a white solid.
