The title compound was prepared in accordance with the general method of Example 1, from 2-bromopyridine (26 mg, 0.16 mmol) and 2-(but-3-ynyl)-7-methyl benzo[d]oxazole (30 mg, 0.16 mmol). The crude residue was purified by flash chromatography (DCM/MeOH 98.5:1.5) to yield 23 mg (87 μmol, 54%) of 7-methyl-2-(4-(pyridin-2-yl)but-3-ynyl)benzo[d]oxazole as a brown oil.
