The title compound was prepared in accordance with the general method of Example 1, from 4-chloropyrimidine (85 mg, 0.74 mmol) and 2-(but-3-ynyl)benzo[d]oxazole (127 mg, 0.74 mmol). The crude residue was purified by flash chromatography (cyclohexane/AcOEt 3:2) to yield 32 mg (128 μmol, 17%) of 2-(4-(pyrimidin-4-yl)but-3-ynyl)benzo[d]oxazole as a white solid.
