The title compound was prepared in accordance with the general method of Example 1, from 2-bromo-pyridine (40 mg, 0.26 mmol) and 5-but-3-ynyl-3-(4-fluoro-phenyl)-isoxazole (55 mg, 0.26 mmol). Reaction time: 2 hours. The crude residue was purified by flash chromatography (cyclohexane/AcOEt 9:1 to 7:3) to yield 19 mg (65 μmol, 25%) of 2-(4-(3-(4-fluorophenyl)isoxazol-5-yl)but-1-ynyl)pyridine as a white solid (M.P.=83-84° C.).
