Reaction Steps

The title compounds were prepared in accordance with the general method of Example 109(D), from 5-methyl-4-phenyl-1H-pyrazole (515 mg, 3.25 mmol). The crude residue was purified by flash chromatography (cyclohexane/AcOEt 4:1) to yield 255 mg (1.21 mmol, 42%) of 1-but-3-ynyl-5-methyl-4-phenyl-1H-pyrazole and 1-but-3-ynyl-3-methyl-4-phenyl-1H-pyrazole.
